Here is proof that good things really do come in small packages. I adore this little one. It is growing like crazy and is blooming profusely, what is not to love. Well, the flowers only measure about 2-3 mm, so you do need some good camera gear to really enjoy it, but that’s a small matter… I am willing to have oversight with the diminutive size of the flowers in the genus because the amount of detail and intricacy is nothing short of amazing!
Lepanthes turialvae is an intermediate growing species from the cloud forests of Central- South America. It enjoys good light and humid conditions, so I grow it mounted in the cool vivarium, medium wet.
Lepanthes turialvae Rchb.f., Bonplandia (Hannover) 3: 255 (1855).
Really nice specimen. Wish can plant this miniature specimen in my garden. Thanks for sharing the stunning pictures.
Thank you Makarimi! I wish I could grow these in my garden too… but as you can see I had to build a rather complex vivarium in order to grow it. But it is well worth it. 🙂
