I do not grow many Phalaenopsis, but I must admit that I really am smitten by this little hybrid. It looks like a little ray of sunshine in my window, something we are in rather short supply of this time of year. Mini Mark is the result of a very successful cross between Phalaenopsis Micro Nova (maculata x parishii) and philippinense. My particular clone is named Holm and it comes from Karge in Germany. I grow it in a medium bark mix on the windowsill under medium/low additional lighting. No special requirements really. It is easy to grow and does not take up a lot of space. It has a leaf span of about 26 cm and keeps the flowers close to the leaves on short inflorescences.

I think every clone of that hybrid is beautiful, every home should have one.
Bill.
…or two or three. 🙂 Thanks Bill!
This is such a lovely mini Phal. Agree with Bill that every home should have one.
Agreed, thanks!! …but Ron… it is a hybrid!! …a registered hybrid however… 😉
beloved plant…what about perfume…it usually has one…
Thank you! I have personally never seen a Mini Mark that is fragrant, mine is not. Rumor has it the ‘Levengood’ mericlone might be fragrant, but I have never seen that one myself so I do not know if this is true.
My mini mark is fragrant, but only during the day and not all the time and especially when i water it.
Nice clone then! 🙂
a friend of mine in the GreekOrchidSociety has a fragrant one…I think he bought it from orchids&more…anyway..with or without perfume it still is a beauty!
Interesting…. good for your friend. 🙂
