I think orchids have an undeservedly bad reputation of being difficult to grow. I do not think that orchids are that much harder to grow, all they need is a little specialized attention.<\/h2>\n
Before you buy an orchid, just learn what its needs are. If you can provide more or less the same basic growing conditions as where it is found in the wild you will do fine. But some will do fine in less than ideal conditions too, just give it a try. Hybrids are generally more forgiving than pure species as a rule, but we all know how stupid it is to generalize… After a while you will learn what types of orchids best suit your growing style, those will be the easy ones – for you.<\/p>\n
I have written down a few things that I have learned about growing orchids over the years, but there is a lot so I have broken them out on separate pages in this category.<\/p>\n
