So the fragrant saga continues… This is a lovely medium sized monopodial epiphyte from the Comoros where it grows on altitudes from 600 to 1000 meters. It smells kind of like Lilly of the Valley with a hint of jasmine in the mix too perhaps. The scent is quite strong in the evening.
I bought this from Marita Åkesson three years ago and this is the best blooming I have ever had. I moved it up to Cattleya light last summer and look at the amount of flowers I got this year! I actually grow all my Africans a lot brighter than recommended with very positive results… I grow this one on the window sill in intermediary temps and (like I said) under quite a lot of light. It is obviously agreeing with this treatment, even though I have read that it grows pretty shady in nature.
